Get to Know Sanel
Sanel Busuladzic
RCM Recognized Guitar & Music Theory Teacher.
After completing my Level 8 (previously Grade 8) studies with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM), I began teaching guitar in 2007 and added online teaching in 2012.

I founded my own small guitar teaching business to offer in-home lessons for children and adults in Calgary. As my studio grew, I introduced Skype guitar lessons (before remote lessons were even a thing!) Today, I use Zoom to connect with students online.

I love working with students who are curious and eager to grow as guitar players. There’s nothing more fulfilling than watching them not only learn to play but also develop a deeper passion for music.

I’m grateful every day for the chance to do what I love. Teaching is my calling and my gift to share with the world. Each week, I feel honored to witness the transformation in my students as they steadily grow their guitar skills, minds, and hearts.

“Our son has been taking guitar lessons with Sanel since September 2024, and the progress he's made in such a short time has been nothing short of incredible. Sanel is an outstanding teacher; patient, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He has a unique ability to connect with his students and transfer his knowledge in a way that really sticks. One of the things that impressed us most was seeing Sanel's pride in his students during a recent recital. It was clear how invested he is in their growth, not just as guitarists, but as confident performers. The joy on his face as each student played was truly heartwarming and spoke volumes about the kind of mentor he is. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Sanel. If you're looking for someone who will inspire, support, and truly teach, he’s the one!!”

"After many years of not looking at my guitar, or any music score, I decided that I would like to take up classical guitar lessons again. As a middle-aged professional person, I have limited time and could not commit to an absolutely rigid schedule. My professional activities and travel allow me to be able to practice daily at times, but at other times not for a week or even more. As a result I looked for someone who would be extremely flexible, but also someone who would make it interesting and whom I liked. I wanted fun, progress at my own pace, and not engender stress or negativity when I butchered my pieces! After all, I am doing this for one reason only - because I want to enjoy playing my guitar and getting better at it. Fortuitously I found Sanel online. Over the last year I have come to appreciate Sanel as one of the best music teachers I’ve ever had, not only because I genuinely like him, but because after one year of working at it again, I can genuinely say I am having more fun playing my guitar than I’ve ever had. That says a lot."
